Minnesota Vacation

Imagine…

Sitting on the dock at sunrise, watching the pastel mist rise over the water.
Laughing with your children as they cheer on their favorite in the minnow races.
Slapping your buddy on the back as he reels in a lunker walleye.
Paddling around the lake in a kayak or canoe and seeing loons up close.
Frying up fish for dinner that you caught this afternoon.
Watching bald eagles soar from the treetops.
Telling stories around the campfire and trying to eat just one more s’more.
Seeing billions and billions of stars in a truly dark night sky.
Breathing fresh pine-scented air deep into your lungs.
Meeting new friends and seeing them again next year.

If you can imagine it, a Minnesota resort vacation can provide it. Only in Minnesota can you experience the precious time with family and friends that an “Up North” Minnesota vacation promises. Whether you relish the serenity of quiet time with nature, want to build memories of fishing with your children, deserve a “boys” (or girls!) weekend away, aspire to catching the record largemouth bass or dream of dropping a hole-in-one, one of our resorts is waiting to welcome you to your Minnesota vacation.

What are Housekeeping Cabins?

Most resorts featured on this website offer housekeeping cabins as their main accommodation. What is a housekeeping cabin? It is your home away from home - your own “place at the lake” for the length of your stay. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is included. And, like your own home, you are the housekeeper. Brooms or vacuums, plenty of garbage bags and cleaning supplies are usually provided. Cabins are thoroughly cleaned after every guest rental, but all owners appreciate seeing a neat and tidy cabin when you check out! Cabins are often remodeled or even brand-new. Usually, your cabin offers bedrooms, a living area with comfortable furniture, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with tub or shower. Many cabins or cottages offer additional amenities, such as televisions, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs – even high speed Internet access. Usually, bed linens are included, and you must bring your own kitchen and bath towels. Most resorts offer many outdoor amenities, including picnic tables, fire-rings, assigned dock space, playground, water toys and a swimming beach. Usually, you park your car right next to your cabin. Most resorts rent fishing boats and pontoons. Every Minnesota resort is a little different, so don’t hesitate to ask what is included.
